Oprah Winfrey reveals she almost accidentally wore a white dress to Royal Wedding after Kate Middlet
OPRAH Winfrey has revealed how she accidentally almost wore a white dress to the Royal Wedding.
The legendary chat show host and actress was one of the famous faces attending the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, looking lovely in a blush pink Stella McCartney dress.
However Oprah, 64, took to her Instagram after the ceremony to tell her fans she had faced her very own "dress-gate" in the hours leading up to the big day.
In a video she said: "I would like to thank the Stella McCartney team for working all night long to get this dress finished because we had dress-gate - the wrong colour - but now we've got the right colour, I think we're going to do OK.
"But no, thank you so much for all the detail and working all night to the whole Stella McCartney team."
Doing a little jig and a bit of a song, she added: "Amen, amen, amen, Stella McCartney team thank you very much."
In the caption she wrote: "Thank you @stellamccartney !
"Realized Friday morning the beige dress I was planning to wear to Royal ceremony would photograph too “white” for a wedding.
"Her team did this overnite. Hat is vintage @philiptreacy been in my closet since 2005 with new feathers.
"OMG was this an extraordinary day! #Harry&Meghan #RoyalWedding #Lovedeveryminute."
Her realisation that her dress looked white - which is a big faux pas at any wedding - comes after Kate Middleton raised eyebrows with her 'cream' coloured dress.
The Duchess of Cambridge reused an Alexander McQueen dress that she has worn three times before.
Viewers reckoned that Kate shouldn't have worn a cream dress to her brother-in-law's wedding, accusing her of trying to upstage Meghan.

But their complaints were unfounded as it was actually a "primrose yellow wool silk tailored coat", NOT a white or cream dress.
One said: "I swear if Kate was at my wedding and she turned up in white she would get punted out quicker than you could f***ing say Royal Wedding."
Another added: "I can't believe Kate has gone and worn white/cream on the day of another Royal Wedding."

This is the fourth time Kate has worn this dress, to Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015, Trooping the Colour in 2016 and to an event marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele on July 30, 2017 in Belgium.
