Watch sensational moment ref calls back player from dressing room to show him straight red after VAR
MIKE DEAN will no doubt be relishing VAR's introduction into the Premier League - so he can send a player off twice.
That is what happened in Poland's top flight when the referee called back a player from the dressing room, only to show him a straight red card instead of a second yellow.

With title-chasing Legia Warsaw already 2-0 down at home to Cracovia in their Ekstraklasa league match, defender William Remy was booked for the second time following a challenge on Javi Hernandez.
But after already heading down the tunnel to jump into his early bath, the referee went over to the pitch-side monitor to watch the incident back.
And he decided the apparent stamp was worthy of a straight red card not just a second yellow.
With that, he called Remy back to the pitch and Remy thought he had got away with his sneaky dig as the ref showed the second yellow had been wiped.

But as Remy went to rejoin his defenders, the straight-faced referee did the unthinkable and called him back again to show Remy a straight red.
Visibly stunned, Remy could scarcely believe what had happened and could not help but laugh as he trotted off once again - while Hernandez applauded the decision.
Of course, although the protocol made no difference to the match situation with Remy sent off either way, his suspension is longer due to the straight red, hence the move from the referee.
But with fan-favourite Dean, with his dance-move penalty awards and hiding-the-ball-in-his shirt tricks, preparing for the imminent arrival of VAR set for next season, he will no doubt be making notes on the ultimate awarding of a double red card.
