Todd M. Fischer, 56, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Penn State Health Centre Lancaster. He was born in Columbia, PA, the son of Dennis M. “Denny” Fischer and Lynn E. McClune of Wrightsville. His beloved wife, Heidi K. (Denlinger) Fischer, with whom he shared his life since their marriage on November 11, 2000, survives him. They settled in East Hempfield Township as a couple.
Todd graduated from Hempfield High School in 1985 and continued his education at Millersville University and Lebanon Valley College, eventually earning his MBA.
Throughout his professional journey, Todd dedicated the majority of his career to the banking sector, commencing in 1996. His most recent role was as Vice President and Senior Credit Review Officer at M&T Bank. Over the years, he contributed his expertise to various financial institutions, including the Bank of Lancaster County, Susquehanna Bank, PNC, and Fulton Bank.

From his early years to his wedding day, Todd’s life was intricately woven at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, PA, where he was raised, baptized, and ultimately married. This connection to his faith remained a cornerstone of his identity.
He was a passionate outdoor enthusiast who made friends at the Mount Joy Sportsmen Association, where he was an active member. Todd had a wide variety of interests, from the rush of skateboarding and mountain biking to the rush of snowboarding and the tactical games of softball and baseball.
He brought a lively energy to game days as a devoted fan of the University of Southern California (USC) football team. A unique element was added to their relationship when he bonded with his brother Tobe over catchy one-liners from The Omega Man, their all-time favourite movie.
Most remarkably, he was immensely proud to be his daughter Peyton’s most ardent spectator on the sidelines of her volleyball matches.
Todd is survived by his two living children, Peyton Morgan Fischer and Nicholas Joseph Fischer, as well as his wife, parents, and a close-knit family circle. His sister Martyne Fischer in Columbia, brothers Tobe Fischer, the husband of Becky Boston,
in Lancaster, Christopher Wohlsen in Landisville, and Alex Fischer in York, all added to the colourful tapestry of his family life. Important roles in Todd’s extended family were played by his stepfather, Richard Wohlsen, in Landisville, and stepmother, Karen Fischer, in Columbia.
