Trai Byers is an American actor, born July 19, 1983, in Kansas City, Kansas. He is popular for playing the role of Andre Lyon in the Fox television series Empire from 2015 to date.

After studying for a year in a high school in Kansas City, he completed his high-school education in Georgia. Later he graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Byers also attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles and the Yale School of Drama.
